Lunch at Taros Ramen South Brisbane
Oh ramen… that perfect comfort food on these cold days.
I haven’t made it to this venue of his before, but I knew I was in for a treat.

✔️ Wagyu Tataki
- rare roast tataki style, with ponzu, olive oil, wasabi, and micro herbs
So many thinly sliced beef slices, a great way to whet our appetites as we wait for the star of the show.
✔️ Tonkotsu Ramen
The original but the basic flavor profile that we love.
Creamy and rich from the pork bone, with a bit of garlic initially ( but we added a fair bit extra lol).
Topped with charsiu pork, nori, shallots, and one of the best eggs I’ve ever eaten.
I need to learn to make these eggs lol.
✔️ Uni Ramen (May Special)
Now this was an experience…
The Uni has been flown in from Tasmania, yes flown in and the uni is served two ways.
1. The super rich sauce on the noodles 🤤.
2. Garnished on the Ramen, steamed and lightly smoked.
You also get a bowl of prawn shoyu soup to take away all the uni flavor from your mouth... It's magical.
There are only 5-10 serves a day per shop so you’ll need to be fast.
Summary
I love the newest venue of Taros Ramen.
It’s great to relax during a lunch break and fill up on noodles.
The tablet ordering is very convenient, and the ramen is consistently good as with the rest of the venues… a great treat 🙂.
